I wrote a song

Hey there, it’s been forever since I posted anything. Life is exciting, scary, busy, and amazing. I’m leaving the fire service in about 4 months, plus some change. I’m shooting for 30 years and not a day over. Me and the crew are training a new Rookie and that’s always a good thing- helps keep everyone on their toes. It’s a big deal getting to be the ones to introduce a brand new hire to this wonderful, challenging career. He’s doing real solid, btw. Meanwhile, I’m closing in on about a month until my solo exhibit of new paintings here in Dallas at Ro2 Art. I can’t wait to get all these works together in the larger space of the gallery’s new location in West Dallas. That’s Saturday September 21. Hope to see you!

I’ve been moved/inspired, fired up- call it what you will, to write a song. It came pretty fast and naturally. I wish my playing and singing did the same. I thought I’d share it here. It is entirely political but not impolite towards anyone other than the top of the current Republican ticket. I know and love many republicans- family, friends, co-workers. This isn’t against you. You know that, though. I’m much more interested in being for things right now, anyway. I had several other verses of things I feel Harris and Walz are “for”. It got to be too long and already this is a big ask expecting you to watch this for 4:34 mins. Thanks to anyone still sticking around with me here!
